A first draft of how the brand speaks
What one run returns
Describe the brand in a few sentences. You get a short voice, four adjectives, four scales, one line written in that voice, and three words or phrases to leave out. The model is told not to invent a customer, a rating, or a fact you did not give it.
The scales are the four Marshi keeps on a brand: formality, from informal to formal; directness, from soft to direct; warmth, from cool to warm; and confidence, from humble to bold. Each one is a number from 1 to 5. On a project those same axes are stored. This page only shows the draft.
Nothing here is saved. Creating an account does not write the voice onto a brand by itself. Chat is where you ask Marshi to use the draft. A project is where the voice is kept.
How to describe the brand
Say what you sell or make, who it is for, and how you do not want to sound. A quiet coffee roaster that hates hype is more useful than the words professional and modern on their own. A few sentences are enough.
Read the sample line out loud. If it is not the brand, change the description and run it again. Name a word to leave out, or say whether the voice should be shorter, and the next draft moves.
The guide linked below is the longer method, with examples and the small decisions. This page is only a first draft.
When a draft is enough
Use it when a new brand needs a voice before anyone writes a post, or when a product line should sound like its parent, only a little sharper.
A slogan is a different job. One line under the name is not a voice. The slogan generator writes that line, including a tagline or a company title. This page describes how later lines should sound.
Questions about the voice
Does this page save the voice on a brand?
No. This page does not write to a project. You copy the draft and take it into Chat or a project yourself.
Are these the scales Marshi stores?
Yes. Formality, directness, warmth and confidence. On a project Marshi keeps those axes. Here each one is a number from 1 to 5.
Does a run include a slogan?
No. Short lines for a name, a tagline or a company title are on the slogan generator. This page describes how the brand speaks.
Will it invent proof, such as a review?
No. It does not add a customer, a rating or a fact that was not in your description.
Take the draft into Chat, or read the longer method before you do.
